Ultra fast charging

In a hurry? Our fully electric e-tron models can be charged at rapid public DC stations at speeds of us to 270kW. For example this can take the S e-tron GT from 10-80% charge in as little as 18 minutes*.

Quattro

Developed through Audi motorsport engineering, quattro is a cornerstone of our driving technology. It brings performance through an engaging drive, improved sportiness and handling to everyday driving. Across the range we have a variety of different quattro technology.

Electric quattro

Audi introduces a new quattro generation with electric quattro. The electric quattro system provides all-wheel drive via an electric motor at the front and rear of the car. The torque is continuously fully variable between the front and rear axles and can adjust within a fraction of a second to ensure the correct level of traction.

Quattro with ultra technology

The intelligent quattro all-wheel drive with ultra technology continuously monitors the driving conditions and distributes the power to the front and rear axles as the situation dictates. If the driving situation does not require all-wheel drive, the entire rear axle can be decoupled from the drive train which can significantly improve efficiency.

Hydraulic multi-plate clutch

Designed for models that have the engine mounted across the chassis. This system has a front wheel bias in normal driving conditions, but constantly analyses traction, sending up to 100% of the power to the rear wheels when needed.

Self-locking centre differentiation

The self-locking centre differential has a 50:50 power bias dividing the torque equally between the front and rear wheels. The system constantly analyses road conditions and can send up to 100% of the power to the front or rear. Some models, such as the RS range, have a rear wheel bias, sending the majority of the power to the back for a sportier driving experience.
