Connecting your TT or R8

To make the most of your Audi Connect Infotainment Services you will need to download the myAudi app and log in to your vehicle's MMI. Logging in will enable you to send destinations straight to your car from the myAudi app for example. You will either need to set up a personal Wi-Fi hotspot* from your smartphone or insert your own sim card into the sim card slot to connect to the internet. Follow the steps below.

Step 1.

Download the myAudi app to your smartphone and tap ‘Let’s Go’ to create a myAudi account.

Step 2.

If connecting your car to your Wi-Fi hotspot*, firstly ensure your smartphones personal hotspot is switched on. Navigate to ‘Menu’, then ‘Telephone’. If using a sim card, go to step 7.

Step 3.

Access the ‘Options’ menu by selecting the right bracket, then ‘Wi-Fi settings’.

Step 4.

Select ‘on’.

Step 5.

Select and confirm network search.

Step 6.

The devices found will be shown in your MMI. Select and confirm your personal Wi-Fi hotspot from the list. You may need to enter the Wi-Fi hotspot password specified by your smartphone.

Step 7.

If you know your VIN, select 'Add my Audi' and follow step 8. Otherwise go straight to step 9 to login to your car as this will automatically add the car to your myAudi app.

Step 8.

Enter your VIN using the keyboard or camera on your phone. This will add your Audi to your myAudi account.

Step 9.

Now you will need to log into your car with your myAudi app details. Navigate to Audi Connect in your car’s MMI. Go to ‘Menu’, ‘Audi Connect’.

Step 10.

Access the ‘Options’ menu by selecting the right bracket then ‘Login’.

Step 11.

Login using your myAudi email address (username) and password.

Step 12.

Back on your phone, if this is your first time using the myAudi app, select ‘confirm identity’ and enter your details following the next steps on the app.

Step 13.

You can now access Audi Connect Infotainment features like weather, fuel prices and parking information.

Step 14.

You are now able to access all of your myAudi app features* and will be able to see your car in the app.
